Jenny Mekkawy

Jenny is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness to help people work towards positive and helpful thinking and behavioral changes. She has extensive experience working with adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, mood changes, bipolar, and co-occurring disorders as well as helping people better navigate relationship issues and improve emotion regulation.
Jenny additionally enjoys supporting those navigating pregnancy and postpartum challenges and has received training in Perinatal Mental health through the Seleni Institute. She obtained her Master of Social Work degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education and Spanish from Middlebury College. Jenny takes a client-centered and holistic approach, meeting clients wherever they are in their desire for change while also utilizing goal-oriented strategies. Jenny believes in the importance of understanding one’s values to make healthy decisions and drive goal-oriented behaviors. She helps people work towards accepting things that are out of their control and working to change what is in their control to improve quality of life.
